Arizona (centered in Mesa but including Apache Junction and Phoenix area)
Apache LoWs was started by LoW members living in Apache Junction, AZ about 30 years ago. One of the ladies camped several times with our founder, Edith Lane when she was planning LoWs. Now Members live in Apache Junction, Mesa, Phoenix, all over Arizona and in other states in summer months. Many members are full timers who spend the winter months in Arizona.
Booncocking camp outs are scheduled the first week of the month from October to May. The December camp out is at a fairground near Casa Grande, AZ where water, electric and a dump nearby are available. Some camp outs are as close as 15 miles away and some are as far as 100 miles away. Places of interest at each camp out are visited and activities are enjoyed, as well as grilling over a charcoal fire one night, community soup the first night, potlucks on the day before the end of the camp out and a fire each night.
Breakfast every Monday at 8:30am at an IHOP in Mesa, lunch on the 4th Wednesday of the month at a different restaurant each month and then impromptu gatherings.
