Garmin Nuvi Recall

Garmin is voluntarily recalling certain Nuvi devices that contain a specific battery that was manufactured by a third-party supplier within a limited date code range. Check here to see if your model is recalled. You will need the serial number of your device. Check here for more information.

Carrier

Carrier has recalled certain models of AIRV ceiling heating and cooling assemblies due to defective heater elements that may break and cause smoke, sparking, and fire that can result in injury, property damage, property loss, and death. These units are installed as original equipment on various recreational vehicles and is also sold as aftermarket equipment. Carrier RV AC/Heat Models Included In The Recall:

Doubletree RV/Mobile Suites announced in September 2010, two owners with model years 2008-2010 were interviewed by phone and alleged a complete wheel separation (in which all eight studs reportedly fractured and the wheel separated from the vehicle) and a partial wheel separation (in which some, but not all, of the wheel studs fractured and, though the wheel clamp had been compromised, this condition had been detected and corrected before the affected wheel had completely separated from the vehicle). Double Tree RV has preliminarily reported that their records indicate an additional three complete or partial wheel separations (total of five) have been reported in the last 18 months (since September 2009).The investigation is ongoing.
